We visited the pediatric ward with small donations of fruits and cakes for the children but had no idea that we would end-up adopting a 3 year old who probably would drop out because of lack of funds for her treatment. We met the sobbing mother who has been abandoned by her husband since he has lost his job and has no money or ESI (insurance) to support. Arohi’s blood counts after the chemo were dangerously low and was kept in a special secluded room. How could we walk away after seeing this. We have immediately contacted the HR of the hospital and committed for the financial support.
